چکیده

Currently, great significance is attached to the preparation of diagnostic drugs based on specific immunoreagents, which include monoclonal antibodies produced by hybridomas. The use one important approaches for detection pathogens particularly dangerous infections – anthrax, brucellosis, tularemia, plague, cholera, glanders, and melioidosis. review presents main achievements Russian scientists obtaining such experimental drugs, also pays attention those sets reagents that are authorized in Federation. To date, three detecting causative agent anthrax (latex agglutination, immunochromatographic method, multiplex immunofluorescence analysis) have been registered our country basis antibodies; four identifying tularemia analysis, dot-variant enzyme immunoassay); plague microbe (enzyme immunoassay immune chromatographic tests); five cholera vibrios (slide immunofluorescence, method two diagnosis glanders melioidosis (immunofluorescence); kits brucella not registered, there only singular designs. involvement modern will improve quality reliability laboratory analysis.

Pds Watches : How Dangerous Are These “ Particularly Dangerous Situations ? ”

Such watches are known as “PDS” watches. PDS tornado (TOR) watches are issued when the forecaster has high confidence that multiple strong (F2-F3 on the Fujita Scale) or violent tornadoes (F4-F5 on the Fujita Scale) will occur in the watch area, while PDS severe thunderstorm (SEV) watches are issued when there is a threat of a high end “derecho” (e.g. Johns and Hirt 1987, Coniglio et al. 2004) ...

Possible Future Monoclonal Antibody (mAb)-Based Therapy against Arbovirus Infections

More than 150 arboviruses belonging to different families are known to infect humans, causing endemic infections as well as epidemic outbreaks. Effective vaccines to limit the occurrence of some of these infections have been licensed, while for the others several new immunogens are under development mostly for their improvements concerning safety and effectiveness profiles. On the other hand, s...

Domestically Acquired Campylobacter Infections in Finland

Campylobacter jejuni isolates (n = 533) from domestic cases diagnosed in Finland during a 3-month peak period were studied. The highest rate was observed among those 70-74 years of age. Domestic C. jejuni isolates were especially frequent in the eastern districts. Six serotypes covered 61% of all C. jejuni isolates.

Salmonella enterica serotype Enteritidis: increasing incidence of domestically acquired infections.

BACKGROUND Salmonella enterica causes an estimated 1 million cases of domestically acquired foodborne illness in humans annually in the United States; Enteritidis (SE) is the most common serotype. Public health authorities, regulatory agencies, food producers, and food processors need accurate information about rates and changes in SE infection to implement and evaluate evidence-based control p...

A monoclonal antibody to VIII:C produced by a mouse hybridoma.

Spleen cells of a BALB/c mouse immunized with factor VIII procoagulant activity (VIII:C) (isolated by affinity chromatography) were fused with mouse myeloma cells (P3 x 63 Ag8). After the fusion 12/32 wells produced an inhibitor to VIII:C. Cells from one well (1B3) were subcloned four times in order to isolate the hybridoma that produces the anti-VIII:C antibody. Injection of hybridoma cells in...
